What if your child could take an idea and turn it into something people actually want to play?
During this five-day entrepreneurship and game-design camp, kids will create their own original board game, card game, dice game, strategy game, or another game concept of their own invention.
Campers will experience the process entrepreneurs and product developers use to move an idea from concept to customer.
Throughout the week, they will brainstorm, prototype, test, improve, brand, and pitch their game while learning that great ideas rarely start out perfect.
Our process is simple:
Create. Test. Iterate. Improve.
Camp activities will include:
Monday: The Big Idea
Explore what makes games fun, brainstorm concepts, and choose an idea to develop.
Tuesday: Prototype It
Create the first playable version using game boards, cards, pieces, rules, and scoring systems.
Wednesday: Test and Improve
Playtest games, gather feedback, solve problems, and improve the experience.
Thursday: Brand It
Create a game name, logo, packaging concept, tagline, pricing idea, and marketing message.
Friday: Take It to Market
Complete the game, prepare a short product pitch, and share the finished concept.
Campers will build skills in creativity, critical thinking, communication, product development, problem-solving, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
All project materials are included.
Kids who are also registered for our morning Miniature Maker Studio may bring a packed lunch and stay at Sparky’s between sessions. Lunch will be from 12:00–1:00 PM.
